New Year's Eve Manicure.

Today I have my New Years Eve manicure for you guys. It's a dual process manicure (stamping, gradient, and free hand).

Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight.

What I used:
Color Club: Worth The Risque
China Glaze: Glistening Snow
OPI: Number One Nemesis
Nubar: Black Polka Dot
Konad: Black
Ceramicoat: Black
Cheeky Plates: CH5, CH36, CH37, CH42

So there you have it my New Years Mani. I hope you all enjoy your holiday and be safe. Make sure you have a designated driver so you can have fun and still be safe/smart. I don't want to get to preachy about it, but it's very important to me that people not drive drunk. I lost my mother when I was a kid because of a drunk driver. So this issue is very close to my heart. Go out, have fun, but don't be stupid. Call a cab, call a sober friend...do whatever you have to do, just don't drive drunk tonight (or any other night). No child should have to loose her/his parent/sibling/relative and no one who's reading this needs to be responsible for such travesties. Please be safe and smart. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

OPI Last Friday Night Swatch and Review

Today, I have Last Friday Night (LFN) from OPI's Katy Perry collection. LFN is micro and medium hexagonal glitter in a light blue jelly base. I wasn't going to swatch this one right away but I had a not so subtle "request" from my friend Marcie to swatch this asap. And by subtle I mean not at all subtle and by ask I mean begged/pleaded/insisted. So here it is. Peer pressure-er.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight. Real sunlight!!! First time in over a month.

Swatches:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade. How's that for some shady shade?

Outdoor in sunlight.

Close ups:
Outdoor in shade.

Indoor no flash.

And a song I'm obsessed with at the moment:
Savage Garden - Mine (And You Could Be)

All pictures are with four coats of LFN and a heavy top layer of top coat. The formula is fairly thin and applies easily despite the hexagons (which are usually problematic). Also this polish dries crazy fast so the 4 layers it took to get this look didn't take very long to dry. Maybe one average length song dry time per coat. Over all I like this polish and it's very pretty on it's own. I think in the future I will wear it with some underwear (Maybe over black or a medium blue creme) and do a little mini-post about how this polish looks over a compliment color. Anyway that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

OPI The World Is Not Enough Swatch And Review

Today, I have a swatch/review of The World Is Not Enough (TWINE) from OPI's Skyfall collection. TWINE is a metallic aged bronze polish with micro pink and blue glass flecks in it. Okay, so I never looked twice at this polish until yesterday when I was in Trade Secret (to spend a gift card I got for Christmas) and picked it up and fell in love with it.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in sunlight(ish).

Outdoor in shade.

Swatches:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight(ish). It's trying to snow.

Close ups:
Indoor close up.

Outdoor close up. Note blue and pink glass flecks.

All pictures are with three coats of TWINE and a coat of topcoat. It's a thin formula, applies easily and dries quickly. As you can see this polish is amazing. I'm not even a big fan of brown polishes. But this one is a stand out polish in the brown/bronze category. The glass flecks in it make it so special and distinct I and glad I picked this beauty up. That's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

December Haul 4

Yeah...so I got some more nail polish. It was gift cards so I don't think we have reached crisis state yet in nail polish addiction. But I will admit that I do have an obsession issue. I can't help it I just love when my nails are polished and pretty. Plus, it's the only way I can keep any length on my nails. And I do so love having long nails. Plus polishing my nails is sort of a zen time for me. No matter what else is going on I can sit and polish my nails and it calms me. And now that I have properly rationalized my nail polish addiction here's my haul.

All OPI: The World Is Not Enough, Fiercely Fiona, & My Boyfriend Scales Walls

OPI - Last Friday Night & Nubar - Night Sparkle

And some tunes...well because Darren is awesome and all should listen to (and love IMO) his amazingly gifted, awesomeness. Enjoy Black Out The Sun by Darren Hayes.

So I am knocking polish off my wish list pretty fast thanks to Amazon.com gift cards. If you didn't notice Last Friday Night has been a lemming of mine for a long time and now she's all mine. Blue sparklies! My inner Valkyrie is thrilled at the acquisition. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

OPI My Private Jet Swatch and Review

Today I have a swatch of OPI My Private Jet (MPJ) to show you guys. I have wanted this polish for some time but because it was core line I always opted for the fashion colors...yes I know that's pretty vapid of me but hey it's easier to get the fashion colors when they are initially out rather than wait and get them when the price is way higher. But I digress the main point I was trying to make in my rambling is that I had wanted this polish for a very long time and my best friend Marcie got it for me for Christmas. And to tell you the truth I am kind of mad I waited this long to acquire this polish. It is freaking gorgeous. My inner Valkyrie is stunned. MPJ is a dark grayish brown base with micro-holographic glitter in it. Dark + Sparkly = Valkyrie Heaven. But enough of my blathering here's the polish.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor.

The swatches:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sun(ish).

Close up:
Note all the little flecks are holographic.

All pictures are with two coats of MPJ and a coat of top coat. This polish dries quickly and applies easily. All in all a must for everyone who likes dark glittery polishes. It actually remind me of the night sky. Like when I was a kid and laid out on the trampoline and stared up at the sky at night. This polish brings me right back to that moment and it makes me love it all the more. If you don't have MPJ in you collection you need to go out and get it because it is amazing. Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Winter Wonderland Manicure

Today, I have a Winter Wonderland manicure to show you guys. It's kind of Christmas(ish) and definitely wintery. Those of you who know me, know that I struggle with December, more specifically Christmas (and if you know me then you know why), so this is me trying to get into the spirit via a Christmas theme mani. I'm sending out some positive energy (a wish if you will) for some Christmas snow. Do you hear me Idaho? I want a white Christmas so straighten up and fly right. Anyway here's the manicure I hope you like it.

Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sun(ish). If it's going to be this cloudy it could at least snow. :(

What I Used:
China Glaze - Running In Circles
China Glaze - Foie Gras
China Glaze Street Chic
China Glaze - Kinetic Candy
OPI - Danke-Shiney Red
Essie - Marshmallow
Sally Girl - White (Pure maybe???)
Konad - Black
Konad - White
Shany Plates - SH207, SH202, SH209

And to keep it from getting a little too real. And because my sense of humor is pretty dark, messed up and borderline inappropriate at times. Here's one of my favorite "Christmas"songs We wish You'd Bury the Missus by the Crypt Keeper. Because I am just that tweaked/morbid. Enjoy.

So there you have it. My Winter Wonderland manicure. What do you guys think? I am pretty happy with it. Now if only Idaho weather would cooperate and give me a white Christmas, then it might start feeling like Christmas. Any way that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

OPI Gold Shatter Swatch And Review

Today, I have OPI Gold Shatter to show you guys. Gold Shatter is a metallic gold crackle polish and the third crackle polish that I have added to my collection. And oddly enough I am not a big yellow gold fan...in fact I have always disliked yellow gold but I really love this polish (I'm contrary by nature lol) it's so pretty on the nail I am glad I added it to my collection.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight.

Swatches:

Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.
*Best color representation.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight.

I wore Gold Shatter over OPI Rumple's Wiggin' for these pictures. All pictures have one coat of Gold Shatter and a top coat. This polish applies easily and dries quickly (like all crackles). By the time I reached my thumb my pinkie was already cracked. I love the soft shimmer that this polish gives over Rumple's Wiggin' too. Together these two polishes say fairy to me...not sure why but there it is. I bet this polish would also look awesome over darker polishes as well but for now I am in love with it over pale purple. That's all I have for you today. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.
