Blue Jelly Sandwich Manicure

Today, I have a Jelly Sandwich to show you guys. I bought China Glaze Isle See You Later even thought I had heard (from multiple bloggers) that it was really low in opacity and boy they weren't kidding. This may be the least opaque nail polish I own. It's on par with french manicure jellies. Luckily, I didn't buy it to wear alone, I wanted it for Jelly Sandwiches. But I quickly realized that even for use in a Jelly Sandwich it was going to need some underwear. But enough blathering, here are the pictures of my blue Jelly Sandwich manicure.

What I Used:

China Glaze - Sunday Funday
China Glaze - Isle See You Later
Finger Paints - Colorful Collage

I used two coats of Sunday Funday as under wear, one coat of Colorful Collage, and three coats of Isle See You Later. Over all I like how it turned out but I wish Isle See You Later had a bit more pigment in it. It's kind of meh. I'll experiment with it a little more but as of now I can't really see myself using it for anything else but French Manicures and Jelly Sandwiches. Because it really doesn't give you much to work with, pigment wise. That's all I have for you guys today until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

ORLY Mermaid Tale

Today, I have a swatch of Orly's Mermaid Tale from their Flash Glam collection to show you guys. Mermaid Tale is a mix of large and small holographic, green glitter, in a clear base. For these pictures I used OPI Mermaid's Tears as underwear.

I used two coats of OPI Mermaids Tears under two coats of ORLY Mermaids Tale followed by a layer of top coat. The formula can glob up on you, so make sure you keep the coats thin, it does however dry fairly quickly so if you want to go for a third coat you won't have to wait that long for it to dry. Over all I really like this nail polish. Let me clarify that for a minute by saying that green is not normally a color I can pull off (without being asked if ill). But this one , I can wear and I genuinely love it. So pretty. Possibly my favorite of the Flash Glam set that I own. Anyway, that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Zoya Storm

Today, I am going to show you guys a swatch of Storm by Zoya. I have had this polish for a while but I haven't worn it because...well it just never made the cut honestly. But I was feeling like dark polish today so it finally made the cut. Yeah so black polish isn't exactly summer...but hey I can't wear most of the neons and bright colors that other (read this as not white as a ghost) people can. So, I rock dark colors year round. Anyway, here's Zoya Storm; it's a black polish with torn holographic glitter in it.

For all the shots above I used 2 coats of Storm and a layer of top coat. The formula applied easily and dried quickly. Over all no complaints from me. It even wore for a long(ish) time (read this as 3 days) without chipping. Over all I really like this polish. It's very  pretty and it makes my Valkyrie heart do little flip flops. Because as you know there is nothing more appealing to a Valkyrie than something sparkly and for me specifically to be dark and sparkly. Anyway that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time. Stay classy and stay polished.

OPI My Private Jet Swatch and Review

Today I have a swatch of OPI My Private Jet (MPJ) to show you guys. I have wanted this polish for some time but because it was core line I always opted for the fashion colors...yes I know that's pretty vapid of me but hey it's easier to get the fashion colors when they are initially out rather than wait and get them when the price is way higher. But I digress the main point I was trying to make in my rambling is that I had wanted this polish for a very long time and my best friend Marcie got it for me for Christmas. And to tell you the truth I am kind of mad I waited this long to acquire this polish. It is freaking gorgeous. My inner Valkyrie is stunned. MPJ is a dark grayish brown base with micro-holographic glitter in it. Dark + Sparkly = Valkyrie Heaven. But enough of my blathering here's the polish.

Note all the little flecks are holographic.

All pictures are with two coats of MPJ and a coat of top coat. This polish dries quickly and applies easily. All in all a must for everyone who likes dark glittery polishes. It actually remind me of the night sky. Like when I was a kid and laid out on the trampoline and stared up at the sky at night. This polish brings me right back to that moment and it makes me love it all the more. If you don't have MPJ in you collection you need to go out and get it because it is amazing. Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

China Glaze Champagne Kisses Swatch And Review

Today, I have Champagne Kisses from China Glaze's Holiday Joy collection to show you guys. Champagne Kisses is a light peachy, copper holographic micro glitter in a clear base. Let me just start by saying that I originally did not want this polish. "I thought ugh! A copper polish?" But then I got it with a gift card and tried it, first on my toes then on my fingers and fell madly in love with it. On the nail it's a gorgeous warm peach glitter and even though I am pale as a ghost it looks good on even my pale self. Anyway here's what you are waiting for...the pictures.

Outdoor in sunlight(ish). It's pretty cloudy out.

Close up:

All pictures are with 3 coats of Champagne Kisses and two layers of top coat. This glitter polish like the others in the Holiday Joy line are top coat eaters so be prepared to go heavy on the top coat. That said it dries fast and has the warmest shimmery glitter to it that I fell madly, deeply in love with. I am so glad I added this polish to my collection. It's beautiful and glittery and for some reason unbeknownst to me reminds me of sugar cookies...maybe it's just because it's that time of year again and I am fiending for some home made sugar cookies. At any rate I hope you guys enjoy this polish as much as I do. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.
