OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Sevice Swatch and Review

Today, I am going to show you guys On Her Majesty's Secret Service (OHMSS) from OPI's Skyfall collection. OHMSS is a charcoal colored polish with blue, green, and silver glass flecks in it.

The bottle:

Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade

Outdoor in sunlight.

All pictures are with three layers of OHMSS and a layer of top coat. This polish is very thin and has an average dry time...one issue though is that this polish smells to all high heaven while it dries. It's smells like a combination of skunk and rubber cement. The smell goes away once it dries but it was so strong at times I thought about taking it off before it was dry just to get the smell to go away. Granted I am pretty sensitive to smells. I like things to smell good (what girl doesn't)...but this polish does not smell good at all. Unless you are one of those people who love skunk smell...and in which case you will love this polish. That said it is pretty...pretty enough to bare the smell to wear it again I don't know. You guys have seen it now. What do you think? Is the stank worth it? I'm on the fence. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

OPI The Spy Who Loved Me Swatch and Review

Today, I have a short swatch post for you guys. Why short... because it's -4 degrees outside so I only have indoor photos. I love nail polish, my blog, and taking pictures, but I do not love frostbite (that's not a good look for me). So this will be a short swatch post due to "holy crap it's cold outside" weather. I will be showing you The Spy Who Loved Me (TSWLM) from OPI's Skyfall collection. TSWLM is a bright red base with red glass flecks in it.

The bottle:

Note the glassy flecks.

All pictures are with two layers of TSWLM and a layer of topcoat. TSWLM is a thin polish that dries quickly and applies easily. Over all I like the polish but I wish that it had more glass flecks in it. Alas I am still on the look out for a red version of China Glaze Riveting. I want a glass fleck-ier red. This polish just doesn't have enough glassy flecks for me. But it will do for now, until I find the elusive red fleck polish I really want. Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time stay classy, and stay polished.

OPI Skyfall Live And Let Die Swatch and Review

Today, I have a swatch from OPI's Skyfall collection. I am going to show you Live And Let Die (LALD). LALD is a dark green creme polish with green glass like flecks is it. It's a really pretty polish that reminds me a lot of Smoke And Ashes from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection. Maybe after Halloween I will do a comparison post for you guys. Right now I have too many Halloween mani's I want to do so those will come first. Anyway here's the nail swatchy goodness.

The bottle:

Outdoor...weather is still against me. :(

All pictures are with two coats of LALD and a top coat. The formula is thick and applies easily. Over all I love this polish. It's a great addition to any collection. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.

OPI Skyfall Goldeneye Swatch And Review

Today, I have a swatch to show you from the OPI Skyfall collection. I am going to show you Goldeneye. Goldeneye is a gold glitter polish with a gold hued jelly like base. It is by far and away the weirdest (as far as application) polish in my collection. And has my inner Valkyrie tranced into total silence and stillness it's that unbelievably gorgeous.

The bottle:

Outdoor.

Outdoor...yeah so...it's snowing outside...snowing in Idaho before Halloween (insert expletive here) and so there will only be one outdoor picture because the sun is hiding and this is the best I can do.

All the pictures above are with three thin coats of Goldeneye and a single layer of top coat. It applies easily and is a thin formula. The application is simple but weird. The first coat goes on and I'm all "Um what happened to the gold?" It reminded me of more flakie China Glaze Golden Enchantment with one coat. Then I applied a second coat and it started to shine. Then I applied a third coat and my jaw hit the floor. I can not say enough good things about this polish. I think I am in love with it actually. It's like nail foils without the rips, bumps, and application learning curve. So shiny, metallicy (yeah...I know it's not a word, but I'm still using it), and glittery that the first words out of my mouth when I saw this on my nails was, "Sweet mother of Valkyrie, that's pretty!" I can see this polish being worn a lot for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's just amazing, and shiny, and pretty, and exemplary of fall. In fact if you could put fall in a nail polish bottle it would be Goldeneye. And to think I almost didn't pick up this pretty. That would have been a real shame. I may cry when I have to take it off.

I also wanted to include a song with this post that reminds me of Goldeneye. It know it should be something James Bondish (like everyone else is doing) but I don't like those movies and honestly when I see this polish I think Golden Years by David Bowie. So that's what I'm posting. Enjoy.

I also wanted to address the real gold top coat issue in this post so no one feels cheated. I'm sure a few of you are wondering if I will be swatching one of the real gold top coats that are so popular right now. The short answer is no. Since I have metal reactive dyshidrotic eczema I will have to satisfy my want for gold on my finger tips this fall with Goldeneye. I can't wear yellow gold at all (or white gold below 24k) without serious repercussions. So there is no way I would be able to wear the real gold top coats (*sad panda*). Plus, if I spent $40 (What OPI Man With A Golden Gun is going for on Amazon) on a single bottle of nail polish my husband might just stroke out on me. But Goldeneye more than satisfies my want for sparkle and gold without the itchy unpleasantness the gold topcoats would bring me and of course to keep the hubbs from stroking out. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.
