July Stash Additions

It's that time of the month again. Time to show you my new stash additions. I was kind of naught (bot not overly naught) this month and got several new polishes I blame Sally Beauty Supply's but one get one sale at the beginning of the month. But seriously they are like crack dealers. And I had to get my fix.  Plus there are the only two polishes I bought last month grouped in with them. Anyway here are my new babies.

Last Months Stragglers:

Sally Beauty Supply: Finger Paints - Colorful Collage & Ulta: OPI - Cuckoo For This Color

Sally Beauty Supply:

China Glaze: Love's A Beach, Turned Up Turquoise, Toe-Tally Textured, & Orange Knockout

Sally Girl: Butta & Brainy (seriously why are these not in bigger bottles?!?!?)

Amazon.com:

China Glaze: Isle See You Later, Flip Flop Fantasy, Pool Party, & Happy Go Lucky

And a song...for no other reason than it's stuck in my head and I thought I would share it with you guys
Lana Del Rey - 'This is What Makes Us Girls'

So there you have it. All the lovely new ladies that have joined my stash this past month. As you can see I'm on a neon kick. Turns out I can wear them as long as they have red or pink undertones in them (in fact I have Pool Party on my toes as I type). And the yellow...becuase it occurred to me that I didn't have a true yellow creme (that didn't have a shimmer to it) so I got one, for nail art. Anyway, I hope you guys are having a great day. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Sunset Mermaid Manicure

So, first off before I get to the manicure I wanted to let you guys know why I've been MIA the last week or so. It's really a super fun collection of "super fun" (Sarcasm alert) events. My car broke down, then the keyboard in my laptop quit working (then randomly started working again the next day), and I broke my baby toe or my left foot (don't ask how it's kind of an embarrassing story, who am I kidding when is it ever a non-embracing story when I hurt my clumsy ass). Plus, a couple of good things also distracted me: I read four books I couldn't put down, and got a new Sims 3 expansion pack...so yeah all these things have converged to distract me. But anyway, I am back and I have some nail art to show you guys. Do you remember the Mermaid Manicure Tutorial I posted back in January? Well after getting my new Sims 3 Expansion (Island Paradise) and playing with the new mermaids I wanted to do a new mermaid manicure. But this one is a different version of the Mermaid manicure. Or at least a different color scheme at any rate. I am calling this one Sunset Mermaid. Enjoy.

What I Used:
ORLY - Ingenue
OPI - Sprung
China Glaze - Passion
Shany Stamping Plate - SH222

I used sponging to get the base gradient and then stamped over top of it. Over all I really like this look. It reminds me of tropical sunsets and mermaids of course. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this manicure as much as I do. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

ORLY Mermaid Tale

Today, I have a swatch of Orly's Mermaid Tale from their Flash Glam collection to show you guys. Mermaid Tale is a mix of large and small holographic, green glitter, in a clear base. For these pictures I used OPI Mermaid's Tears as underwear.

I used two coats of OPI Mermaids Tears under two coats of ORLY Mermaids Tale followed by a layer of top coat. The formula can glob up on you, so make sure you keep the coats thin, it does however dry fairly quickly so if you want to go for a third coat you won't have to wait that long for it to dry. Over all I really like this nail polish. Let me clarify that for a minute by saying that green is not normally a color I can pull off (without being asked if ill). But this one , I can wear and I genuinely love it. So pretty. Possibly my favorite of the Flash Glam set that I own. Anyway, that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Minion Nails

Hey guys! Tonight I am going to see Despicable Me 2. Which in case you didn't know I am pretty excited about. I freaking love the Minions. They are just about the cutest thing ever. Anyway I decided I was going to do some Minion nails for tonight. Want to see them? I thought that you might. Here they are, my Minion Nails:

And Some Minions In Action (I Didn't Make These GIF's I Just Adore Them):

Probably my favorite expression by a minion. I use this All.The.Time.

See Minions fan-girl too. XD

And The Trailer...In Case You Haven't Seen It (If That's Even Possible):

I used several different methods to get this look. I used self made decals (for the eyes), striping tape (for the goggle band) and free hand (for the hair, mouths, and overalls). Over all I am very pleased with how this came out. I just love the minions and I adore having them literally at my fingertips. Do you think I should name them? I'm gonna need 10 names...okay go. JK Anyway that's all I have for you guys today. Because I have to go finish getting ready for the movie now. So, until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

4th Of July/Independence Day Manicure.

Today, I have a quick manicure to share with you guys. If you are not in the US, the July 4th is our Independence Day. And this is the manicure I did to celebrate it. I actually got the idea for this after watching  a YouTube Video by SimpleLittlePleasures (see tutorial here) and decided I wanted to try a similar manicure but I added stars (cuz I love stars)...plus I had to make it my own. That said this would look better on her nails...because they are gorgeous (and a length I will never be able to achieve) and right now I have nubs after a laundry accident that ripped one nail down to the quick on my left hand (laundry day is a very dangerous day!). So these are pictures of my right hand (so please pretend to not notice the odd angles). But anyway here's my 4th of July mani. Enjoy.

What I Used:
China Glaze - White On White
China Glaze - Dandy Lyin' Around
China Glaze - Dorthy Who?
China Glaze - Ruby Pumps
Konad - White
Cheeky Plate - CH4

I used a combination of taping, sponging, free hand, and stamping to get this look. It took forever. And I have a ton, and I do mean a ton of nail polish on. So I sat trying to not dent my nails for a really long time. That's why this post is up so late. I hope you enjoy it. Anyway have a safe and happy 4th of July. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.
