Dollish Polish They Are Coming To Get You Barbara

Today, I have They Are Coming To Get You Barbara from Dollish Polish's Halloween Frights collection to show you guys. They Are Coming To Get You Barbara is a Red (bar and square), black (matte moon & hex), White (matte hex and skull and cross bones), and neon green (matte hex and squares) in a milky off white/grayish crelly base. Wow that was a mouthful! But seriously guys this polish is awesome! It's based on the movie Night of The Living Dead. I like the 1968 original but I absolutely adore the 1990 remake (the Tony Todd one...because Tony Todd is the shit!!! His voice is wonderfully creepy and he's such a good actor). I'm not sure which version this is based on (There are like 5 or 6 remakes/versions of this film...but the only ones any good are the Tony Todd 1990 and the original 1968 ones, IMO.), so...I guess just pick your fave and go with it. Also if you only know one thing about Night Of the Living Dead, know this: George A. Romero co-wrote and directed the original, which makes him the Zombie Godfather! All zombies as we know them can be traced directly to George A. Romero and the original 1968 film. If you like zombies, then you should be thankful for Mr. Romero, he's a total rock star, and responsible for all the flesh eating monsters we know and love. So let's pay homage to the Zombie Godfather! Here's They Are Coming To Get You Barbara:

In these pictures I used two coats of They Are Coming To Get You Barbara, over two coats of China Glaze Recycle, topped with a heavy layer of top coat. The skull and cross bones were kind of a pain to place, I had to dig them out and put them where I wanted them. Also as you know I hate bar glitter, but in this polish they are not a big deal. I would prefer it if they weren't in there, but whatever, it's still a pretty polish. And I'm definitely glad I bought this one. I hope you guys enjoy this swatch and if you haven't seen the movie (Either version) they are so beyond worth a watch. So go watch them. That's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Dollish Polish 1,2, Freddy's Coming For You

Today, I have 1, 2, Freddy's Coming For You from Dollish Polish's Halloween Frights collection to show you. 1, 2, Freddy's Coming For You is a Green, black and burgundy glitter topper in a clear base. As soon as I saw the first swatches of this polish I knew I had to have it. This polish is based on Freddy Kruger's striped sweater from A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. As some of you may know I am a HUGE Freddy Kruger fan, and have been since I was a kid (I don't include the abortion of a remake in the Nightmare franchise!!!! Robert Englund only thank you! Freddy = Robert England, Freddy ≠ Jackie Earle Haley end of story. Don't go there with me or you tempt full on nerd rage.). I guess I'm preternaturally attracted to sarcastic "bag guys," (or so it would seem) and that all started with Freddy. But I digress, I knew this polish had to be mine as soon as I saw it. So without further ado, here is 1, 2, Freddy's Coming For You:

For these pictures I used two coats of 1, 2, Freddy's Coming For You over two coats of OPI My Vampire Is Buff topped with a heavy layer of top coat. Polish applied easily and dried quickly. I only needed to dab on the first layer and the second went on like normal polish. Over all I adore it. Pretty polish, based on one of my favorite baddies and I'm in nail and movie nerd heaven. Cudos for Dollish Polish for making this lovely lady for us. What do guys think? Are you loving it? Are you guys as big a Freddy fan as I am? Or am I just a weirdo? Talk to me below. Anyway, that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Dollish Polish - The Curse Of Michael Myers

Since, I am finally starting to feel better I figured I would get a swatch post up for you guys today. I am going to show you The Curse Of Michael Myers from Dollish Polish's Halloween Frights collection. The Curse Of Michael Myers is a multi-size, muti-shape, orange, yellow, gold, silver and white glitter mix in a clear base. I used Kalahari Kiss by China Glaze as a base color to make the glitter pop. So without further ado here she is.

*for some reason my camera rendered the silver glitter as clear or white no matter what I did.

In these pictures I used two coats of Kalahari Kiss by China Glaze as a base color and one layer of The Curse Of Michael Myers, with a heavy coat of topcoat. This glitter topper is a topcoat eater so apply topcoat heavily. Over all I really like it. And for one layer it has a huge glitter payoff. What do you guys think? Are you loving it as much as I am? It's so freaking pretty. I am in love Dollish did it again. Her glitter toppers call to me so. That's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Dollish Polish We're Simply Meant To Be

So before I get to the swatch I wanted to apologize for being MIA this week. Between Spring cleaning and a new workout routine, I have been busy...and had a serious case of T-Rex arms due to over doing it with the weights. It's hard to paint your nails when it hurts to extend your arms away from your body. Still a little sore but getting used to it.
Anyway, today I am going to show you guys We're Simply Meant To Be from Dollish Polish's The Nightmare Before Christmas collection. We're Simply Meant to Be is a mix of hexagonal, square and micro glitter, in silver, violet, burgundy, black, pink, lavender, teal, and yellow all in a clear base. For the swatch I applied it over OPI Skull & Glossbones. Enjoy.

We're Simply Meant To Be - The Nightmare Before Christmas OS

All pictures were taken with two coats of We're Simply Meant To Be over two coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones, finished with a layer of top coat. The polish applies easily (which is awesome considering how many sizes and types of glitter are in it) and dries at an average pace. Over all I love this polish. It's so pretty.  I saw the bottle and was like "It must be mine," then put it on and fell madly in love with it. The only issue (and it's not an issue for me specifically) is that the large black square glitter wanted to hide in the bottle. I only got one of them out. Which may be a deal breaker for you...but it's not for me, it's so pretty that with or without the black squares it's amazing. Also seriously if you haven't seen The Nightmare Before Christmas yet get out from under the rock you live under and watch it. It's a freaking awesome movie. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Dollish Polish I'm The Boogieman

Today, I am going to show you guys I'm The Boogieman from Dollish Polish. This polish is inspired by Oogie Boogie (i.e. The Boogieman) from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm The Boogieman. For those of you who don't know Oogie Boogie is a big, angry, burlap sack monster, that glows neon green in the dark, is filled with bugs, and is the main antagonist of the film. Also if you don't know this movie, I order you (nicely order you) to go watch it. It's awesome. I'm The Boogieman is a pearlescent sage green polish with medium sized green hexagonal glitter, small green hexagonal glitter, small silver hexagonal glitter, and small coppery brown hexagonal glitter in it.

Stalk Dollish Polish on Facebook here, and visit the shop here

Here's his song. The Oogie Boogie Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas

All pictures are with three coats of I'm The Boogieman and a heavy layer of top coat. And you are going to need the heavy layer of topcoat. the glitter gets a little bumpy but a thick coat of Seche Vite gives it a flat high gloss sheen. The formula is a little thick but applies easily and dries really quickly. Over all I am pleasantly surprised by this polish. I didn't think I was going to like it...in fact I didn't even order it, I received it as a free gift with purchase from a seller on eBay. Even when I looked at the bottle I thought "ehh." But on the nail it's actually quite pretty. I rather like it and I'm not a huge green fan (being this pale green has never been a friend to me). But this green I actually like. I can see this polish being warn for Saint Patrick's Day as my something green (because I loath being pinched but I don't own green clothing). Anyway what do you guys think? Are you loving it? Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Dollish Polish Expecto Patronum

You can stalk their Facebook here and buy a bottle here.

All pictures are with three coats of Expecto Patronum (No underwear) and a layer of topcoat. This polish is a thick formula but applies easily and dries fairly quickly. It's also worth mentioning that this polish is as tough as it is pretty. It survived the manicure killer. I was amazed. Pretty and strong (like all of my lovely readers). Can I just say that this polish is awesome. A very pretty polish and it survived the recipe that would have done in a lesser polish. I am in love. I guess, I should also mention that this polish is Harry Potter (more specifically the Expecto Patronum spell) inspired but that's not what drew me to it. Don't get me wrong I like Harry Potter I'm just not a Harry Potter fanatic/devotee/fan girl, just a casual interest is all. Translation: I have the books (and I've read the first three) and all the movies but only saw two of them (the forth one and the last one) in theaters. Now, if someone would make a polish line inspired by: The Walking Dead, Once Upon A Time, or Dexter...well that would be a horse of a different color. I would buy those lines in total. Cuz, I'm a weirdo like that. And that's how I get my fan girl on. No judgments. Anyway, I'm getting distracted again (which tends to happen a lot with me). That's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.
