Lac Attack Death Day Party

Today, I have  Death Day Party from Lac Attack's Magical Musings collection to show you guys. Death Day Party is a smokey purple flake glitter in a pale smokey purple/grey jelly base. Free warning, this polish is another total mind freak. It looks completely different in the bottle. So, I will be showing you a close up in the bottle as well as on the nail so you can see how different they look.

Swatches:
Indoor no flash.
*Best color representation.

Indoor with flash.

Outdoor in sunlight.
*Note the hint of shimmer.

Outdoor in shade.

Closeups:

*Note the shimmer in the top left hand corner.

Close up of the polish in the bottle....mind blown...looks purple in the bottle but shows grey on the nail. O.o

Stalk there Facebook here and order a bottle here

All pictures are with two coats of Death Day Party, over two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (MBSW) as underwear, and finished with a layer of top coat. This polish is inspired by the magic and wizardry from the world of Harry Potter. And it shows because this polish has a certain magic of it's own. I just love this polish. That said, this polish was a real pain to photograph because try as I might (After 300+ photos, across 2 days) I couldn't get a good picture of the golden/purple shimmer that runs lengthwise down the nail as it's turned from side to side. So you are just going to have to trust me that it has a really pretty shimmer to it. Some of the pictures hint at it...but none of them captured it completely. Sorry about that. But the polish is amazing however bashful the shimmer is in front of a camera. Death Day Party dries quickly and applies easily...a note though...you should probably pick different underwear because MBSW was a real pain in the butt to apply and it was as streaky as could be. But that has nothing to do with Death Day Party. Death Day Party is awesome. Also, how much does it tweak your brain that this polish looks purple in the bottle and grey on the nail....Anastasia (the creator) may be a witch (and I mean that in a good way) because she makes the best polishes, they are gorgeous, surprising, and mind blowing...she must have special nail polish powers to create such pretty polishes. She's the Professor McGongall of nail polish (see what I did there). I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this polish as much as I do. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.

Lac Attack Dementor's Kiss

Today, I have Dementor's Kiss from Lac Attack's Magical Musings collection to show you guys. Dementor's Kiss is a clear base polish with large red hexagonal glitter, medium black hexagonal glitter, and small black hexagonal glitter in it.

Swatches:

Buy it here and follow Lac Attack on Facebook here

All pictures have two coats of Dementor's Kiss, over two coats of Orly Decades Of Dysfunction with a top coat over the whole thing. This polish applies easily and dries at an average pace. Free warning though, make sure each layers are completely dry before applying the next layer or you will have one heck of a mess on your hands. This was the first Lac Attack that I really, really wanted and it didn't disappoint. It's a gorgeous polish, and I just love it. Black and red are my two favorite glitter polish combinations....and Lac Attack nailed it (forgive the pun) with this polish. I am in love. Anyway that's all I have for today. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.

Lac Attack Amortentia

Today, I have Amortentia from the Magical Musings collection by Lac Attack, to show you guys. Amortentia is medium pink pearl finish jelly polish with silver micro and lavender Hexagonal glitter in it. But enough blathering here she is.
Swatches:

All photos are with four thin coats of Amortentia and a layer of top coat. This polish applies easily and dries quickly. I really great polish for Valentine’s Day I think. Specially since Amortentia (in the world of Harry Potter ) is a love potion I think it fits perfectly for this week. Also this polish is kind of a mind screw. Let me explain that when I first painted my nails after fourth coat but before it was completely dry it was a lighter color. Then it dried completely and ended up darker. It’s a very unique polish. In fact I almost took it off before fourth coat was dry because it was too light and I wasn’t digging it then it dried and I was like “whoa, it got darker.” Let’s let that be a lesson to me about judging polishes before they are dry. What do you guys think? Are you loving Amortentia? I am and I almost missed out because I made a judgment before it was dry. I won’t do that again.  Anyway that’s all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Lac Attack Beauxbatons Academy

Sorry, I've been MIA this week but I've had a really bad sore throat/cold/viral plague infestation, and it's been kicking my butt. I'm still sick but I decided I didn't want to leave you guys hanging so I did a bigger post for today to make up for my sick butt slacking the last couple of days. free warning this will be a picture heavy post.
Today, I am going to show you guys Beauxbatons Academy from Lac Attack's Magical Musings collection. Beauxbatons Academy is a milky bluish-white base with blue hexagonal glitter, darker blue micro glitter, white matte square glitter, and yellow matte micro glitter in it. For this post I swatched Beauxbatons Academy two ways, once by itself and once with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as underwear.

No Underwear:

Swatches:
Indoor no flash.

Indoor with flash.

Outdoor...sorry it's trying to snow and blocking out all the light.

Individual nail.

Closeups:
Outdoor.

Indoor no flash.
*All closeups are of polish on my nail not of the bottle.

The bottle:

Left to right: Indoor with flash, indoor no flash, and outdoor.

*All pictures are with four thin coats (But you could probably get away with two heavy coats....I just always smudge the heavy coats before they dry so I do thin coats instead) of Beauxbatons Academy and a layer of topcoat.

With Underwear (OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls):

Swatches:

*All pictures are with two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, two coats of Beauxbatons Academy and a layer of topcoat.

If you haven't checked out Lac Attack's nail polish out yet head over to her website here and see what you've been missing. And to see when she restocks all her pretty polishes follow her on Facebook or Twitter

And lastly, my final thoughts on Beauxbatons Academy. Beauxbatons Academy with underwear is lighter, has less glitter and the white underwear (of OPI) comes though blotting out the pale smokey bluish-white base. With Beauxbatons Academy on it's own, you see a lot more glitter, more depth, and the pale smokey bluish-white base comes through. What do you ladies think? To wear underwear or not to wear underwear? I personally prefer it commando (no underwear required). I like the dept that you only get by layering Beauxbatons Academy over itself. This polish is so amazing it doesn't need panties. Lac Attacks motto "Fiercely Unique Nail Lacquer" is absolutely correct she makes the most unique Indies around. Nothing else looks quite like this polish. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.
