OPI Pure

Today, I have OPI Pure from the Holiday Mariah Carey collection to show you guys. Pure is a 18k white gold and silver flake topper. I have to say I was very excited when I heard they were making this one. Since I am allergic to yellow gold I had to miss out of the yellow gold flake polishes everyone was releasing in 2012 and 2013. So when they released this one I knew I had to get it. I wasn't about to let it pass me by. So here she is (over OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?).

For this swatch I used two coats of Vant To Bite My Neck? (as undies), two coats of Pure, and a layer of topcoat. This polish applied easily and dried really quickly. Over all I love how it looks and it's definitely worth the price. I liked it so much I put it on my toes as well. What do you guys think? Are you loving Pure as much as I am? Let me know your thoughts below. Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Finger Paints Vivid Reflection

Today, I have Vivid Reflection from Finger Paints Kaleidoscope collection to show you guys. Vivid Reflection is a pink, peach, orange flakie topper (clear base). This is the third polish from the Kaleidoscope collection that I have swatched and quite possibly my favorite one so far. I'm not normally a big pink kinda woman (unless you are talking about the singer, then I love P!nk), but this polish is so pretty I just love it. I can't help myself. I could blather on about this polish all day or I could just show it to you. So here it is:

In this picture I used two coats of Finger Paints Black Expressionism (as undies), two coats of Vivid Reflection, and a layer of top coat. This polish was a slower drying polish like the others in the set that I've swatched but it's also worth the wait. The sparkle pay off is huge on this one. I just can't stop looking at it. Let my Valkyrie sister be warned that this polish may trance you. I hope you guys like this polish as much as I do (which is a lot). Three polishes swatched from Kaleidoscope two to go. Stay tuned. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Finger Paints Psychedelic Hue

Today, I have Psychedelic Hue from Finger Paints Kaleidoscope collection to show you guys. Psychedelic Hue is a teal to green flakie topper in a clear base. For this picture I used China Glaze Liquid Leather as a undies. This is swatch number two from the Kaleidoscope collection. Here is Psychedelic Hue:

In these pictures I used two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather, two coats of Psychedelic Hue, and a later of top coat. This polish is a tad slow to dry, faster that the older flakies by Finger Paints but still on the slow side. That said this polish is so worth to time it takes to dry. I freaking love it. Such a pretty polish. I'll be posting the rest of the collection soon so stay tuned. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Finger Paints Abstract Abstraction

First of all I want to apologize for the lack of posting...but it's been a week. I ended up going to the doctor twice this week on account of getting hurt at work. One Baro trauma to the left ear, one tetanus shot, one laceration, and a dislocated finger later I'm attempting to type this for you with a splint on my finger. Anyway, today I have Abstract Abstraction from Finger Paints to show you guys. Abstract Abstraction is one of Finger Paints new flakie polishes. It's a blue, green, and purple flake polish. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather as Undies on this one.

On this manicure I used two coats of Liquid Leather and two coats of Abstract Abstraction with a heavy coat of topcoat over everything. This polish applies easily and is a slower drying polish. That said I really think it dries faster than the previous flakies released by Finger Paints. They wore really well (I wash my hands a lot because I work with kids) and It barely even chipped. I took if off because I just wanted a different color not because it was chipped as I usually do. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this swatch, and I will be posting swatched or the polishes from the rest of this set soon, so stay tuned. That's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy, and stay polished.

Lac Attack Death Day Party

Today, I have  Death Day Party from Lac Attack's Magical Musings collection to show you guys. Death Day Party is a smokey purple flake glitter in a pale smokey purple/grey jelly base. Free warning, this polish is another total mind freak. It looks completely different in the bottle. So, I will be showing you a close up in the bottle as well as on the nail so you can see how different they look.

Close up of the polish in the bottle....mind blown...looks purple in the bottle but shows grey on the nail. O.o

Stalk there Facebook here and order a bottle here

All pictures are with two coats of Death Day Party, over two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (MBSW) as underwear, and finished with a layer of top coat. This polish is inspired by the magic and wizardry from the world of Harry Potter. And it shows because this polish has a certain magic of it's own. I just love this polish. That said, this polish was a real pain to photograph because try as I might (After 300+ photos, across 2 days) I couldn't get a good picture of the golden/purple shimmer that runs lengthwise down the nail as it's turned from side to side. So you are just going to have to trust me that it has a really pretty shimmer to it. Some of the pictures hint at it...but none of them captured it completely. Sorry about that. But the polish is amazing however bashful the shimmer is in front of a camera. Death Day Party dries quickly and applies easily...a note though...you should probably pick different underwear because MBSW was a real pain in the butt to apply and it was as streaky as could be. But that has nothing to do with Death Day Party. Death Day Party is awesome. Also, how much does it tweak your brain that this polish looks purple in the bottle and grey on the nail....Anastasia (the creator) may be a witch (and I mean that in a good way) because she makes the best polishes, they are gorgeous, surprising, and mind blowing...she must have special nail polish powers to create such pretty polishes. She's the Professor McGongall of nail polish (see what I did there). I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this polish as much as I do. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.

Flakie Comparison (Essie Shine Of The Times, Nubar 2010, & Color Club Snow-Flake)

I was going through my stash and realized I had three bottles of flakie polish that looked almost exactly the same. So Since I always enjoy a good comparison swatch I thought you guys might too. I am going to show/compare Essie Shine Of The Times, Color Club Snow-Flake, and Nubar 2010. So without Further ado, here they are.

Fist Comparison:

Essie Shine of The Times vs. Color Club Snow-Flake

Odd angle I know but I wanted to show the color variation.

Essie - Shine Of The Times

Color Club - Snow-Flake

So they are color wise exactly the same. They do however differ in glitter size. SF is smaller more evenly sized glitter where SOTT  is a mixture of small and medium flakes.

Second Comparison:

Essie Shine Of The Times vs Nubar 2010

Nubar -2010

Essie - Shine Of The Times
Again same colors. There are however two differences between the two. The first is that 2010 has a range if flakey from small to really large where SOTT has small to medium. The second difference is in quantity. SOTT has way more flakies than 2010

All pictures are with two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather and two coats of each of the flaky polishes over top. As you guys can see the color is exactly the same across the board the only differences are quantity and flake size. And to be honest if the way most flakies apply you have variation in application and different disbursements of flakes so if you are fiending for one and you can't find it one of the other 2 will work exactly the same. That said I do have a favorite of the three and that's Essie SOTT. The application is super smooth and dries really fast. In order of dry time I'd place the, (fastest to slowest) Essie, Color Club, Nubar. Other than that if you are looking for a orange to green range flaky you can't go wrong with any of these beauties. That's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.
