Nail-Venturous Floam Swatch and Review

Today I am very pleased to be able to show you Floam by Nail-venturous. This polish has been a long time lemming for me and was my first nail polish crush. I am so super happy that this beauty is now in my collection. Floam is mix of green, yellow, and teal micro hexagon, matte glitter in a clear base. And can I just say before I show you this polish that it's everything I hoped it would be and more. I adored this polish before I owned it and now...well now I am full on in love with it. But enough blathering. Here's Floam.

Swatch:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor...the sun is hiding again today.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.         Indoor no flash.              Outdoor.

Closeups:
Closeup indoor no flash.

Closeup outdoor.

All pictures are with three coats of Floam and a layer of topcoat. It's a thick formula but it didn't cause any application issues. That said make sure you let each layer of Floam dry fully before applying the next layer. Or you will have matte glitter migration. How much do you love Floam? Because I love it to the moon and back. I couldn't be happier that after almost two years of trying to get a hold of a bottle I was able to out bid someone on eBay and for only $13. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this manicure and this polish. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

So free warning you may fall deeply and completely head over feet for this sexy holographic silver polish. Enough blathering, here's the sexy lady now.

All photos are with three coats of HOT and layer of top coat. The formula is a tad thick but not tricky to apply and it dries pretty quickly so no worries there...but the best part is the holographic rainbow. How's that for a holo pay off. I just love this polish. Color Club is doing Holo right with this polish line. So far I have loved every one of them. And needless to say my inner Valkyrie is in a full on trance, twittering away at the pretty sparklies. What do you guys think? Are you loving the Halo-Hues collection as much as I am? Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time stay classy and stay polished.

So for a short little post before my real post I have another haul to show you guys. And yes I am no longer an Indie Polish Virgin. I am the proud owner of four brand spanking new Indie polishes as of yesterday. Plus I got a few other goodies in the mail. Want to see what I got? You don't have to twist my arm. Here are the lovely new ladies that joined my polish stash this week.

My number one nail polish crush (my first ever nail polish crush).
Floam - Nail-Venturous

Yeah, so not a nail product, but seriously like the best lip butter ever. It's not available in my area so I had to buy it online. Yummy, caramel flavored kisses.

Zoya - Storm & Orly Mermaid Tale

So there you have it the newest ladies to join my polish stash. I just couldn't be more thrilled about finally having a bottle of Floam for my very own. Anyway I hope you have an awesome day and I'll be back later with a swatch post. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

All The World Will Be In Love With Night Manicure

"...and, when he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun. "
- Romeo & Juliet - Act 3 Scene 2 - William Shakespeare

I have a star manicure for you guys today. If you hadn't guessed already I love stars, and the night time, I'm a total night owl. And any chance I get I incorporate stars into my nail art and pretty much everything else I do. There just so pretty and sparkly...it's a Valkyrie thing. Anyway here's the mani I hope you enjoy it.

Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor.

What I Used:
China Glaze - Liquid Leather
Color Club - Fashion Addict
Color Club - Wild At Heart

Color Club Fashion Addict Swatch and Review

Today, I have Fashion Addict (FA) from Color Club to show you guys. FA is pale pinkish lavender holographic polish. Now this polish isn't a "knock you on you butt, full on Valkyrie attack" holo polish, it's a subtle "look at the pretty shimmer" holo. So let's get to it shall we.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Swatch:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Closeup:

All pictures are with two coats of FA and a top coat. This formula applies easily and dries quickly. And I totally love it. It's just such a pretty polish and a lovely color. What do you guys think? Anyway that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Revlon Girly Swatch and Review

Today, I have another short post for you due to the infestation of my body with viral plague (JK it's just the craptacular flu). I am going to show you Girly by Revlon. Girly is a candy pink jelly polish with a mixture of various sizes of pink, fuschia, and purple hexagonal glitter.

The bottle:
Indoor no flash.

Indoor with flash.

Swatches:
Indoor no flash.

Indoor with flash.

All pictures are with three coats of Girly and a heavy layer of topcoat. The polish is rather thin and dries fairly slowly. Also it's worth noting that this is not a glitter polish. It's a jelly polish with glitter in it. So don't expect a ton of glitter in the first swipe, because it's not going to happen. That said I really like this polish is very true to it's name and very girly, it would be great for Easter or a baby shower or just because you're a girl and you like nail polish with glitter in it. I picked it up at Walmart, which is the only place in my town that I could find it so if you want it I'd start there. Anyway that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Tiny Post: Zoya Anastasia Swatch and Review

This post is going to be short and sweet as I am sick as a dog with the flu but wanted to get something up to show you guys. Today, I am going to show you Anastasia by Zoya. Anastasia is a metallic dark purple with peach/gold shimmer. There will only be indoor pictures because standing out in the cold is really not the best thing for the flu so I will just post indoor pics until this disease is out of me.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Swatches:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Both pictures are with three coats of Anastasia and a coat of topcoat. It's a thin formula and has an average dry time. I like the color on the nail...but I liked it better in the bottle. It just looses something on the nail for me. Which is sad because I had such high hopes for Anastasia. What do you guys think? Is it awesome or ehhh? That's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Color Club Angel Kiss Swatch and Review

Today, I have another polish from Color Club's Halo Hues collection to show you guys. I am going to show the totally drool worthy holographic awesomeness that is Angel Kiss (AK). AK is a lovely turquoise halo that will steel your breath and send your inner Valkyrie into her "Oh, shiny" trance. Anyway, enough blathering let's get to this pretty lady.

The bottle:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight.

Swatches:
Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in shade.

Outdoor in sunlight.

Closeups:

All pictures are with 3 coats of AK and a layer of topcoat. The formula is thick but dries really fast. I tried using it in a water marble....yeah, fast dry time is not your friend in a water marble. But she's so lovely all by herself that it's not a big deal that she doesn't play well with water marbling. What do you guys think? Is your inner Valkyrie in a trance yet? Well that's all I have for you today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.

Persiphony Pink Water Marble

Today, I have a pink water marble to show you guys. I didn't set out to do a water marble. I was trying to do a water spotted manicure...well long story short the spray hand sanitizer (I was lucky enough to already have) was just not useful for this purpose. It just tore giant holes in the polish (the size of three fingers). Fail. So I decided that since I already had the water ready it wouldn't be a total loss and decided water marble was a better way to go since I have gotten pretty good at it. I also wanted to say that this it the first time I have used Zoya polish in a water marble...and holy crap it's awesome. It spreads better than any polish I own. Or at least Persiphony spreads better than any polish I own. Any way enough of my blathering here's the manicure. I hope you enjoy it.

Indoor with flash.

Indoor no flash.

Outdoor in sunlight.

Outdoor in shade.

What I used:
China Glaze - White Cap
Zoya - Persiphony
Flower water marble pattern.

And a song because I can't do a pink manicure without a P!nk song. That would be silly.
P!nk - F**kin Perfect

So there you have it, the water marble that started as a water spot. Don't worry I am not giving up I will try the water spot manicure again. I just didn't have the required equipment to get it to work right (i.e. hand sanitizer that doesn't suck). That said I am happy with how the water marble turned out even if it was in lieu of water spots. It's pink and girly and springy...even if it's cold as...well you know were I'm going with this. It's decidedly still winter outside. Well that's all I have for you guys today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.
