Today, I have Let's Do Anything We Want! from OPI'sMuppets Most Wanted collection to show you guys. Let's Do Anything We Want! is a pink and white glitter topper in a clear base. I don't know if it's supposed to be based on a character from the film but since it's pink I would bet on Miss Piggy (But that's just a guess). This polish is probably my favorite one of the collection though. So without further ado here is Let's Do Anything We Want!:

For these pictures I used two coats of Let's Do Anything We Want!, over two coats of OPI My Vampire Is Buff, followed by a layer of top coat. This polish applied fairly easily...well let me extrapolate that: The small pink and white glitter applied easily...the large white squares...not so much. They kind of have to be dug out and placed where you want them. Which is kind of a pain in the butt to be honest. That said I think the effort is well worth it. I freaking love this polish. It's so pretty, I'm in love. I'm officially putting matte white glitter on my list of favorite types of glitter. I can't explain it but I find them to be all sorts of groovy. What do you guys think? So it's been a while since my last post and I do apologize for that but I got the stomach flu...or food poisoning (not sure which) and I have been sick as a dog for the last four days. I'm starting to feel batter today...but I am nowhere near 100%. I'm as weak as a new born kitten and my stomach is just that side of pissed off at me. But I figured I would do a post anyway so you guys didn't think I forgot about all my lovely Valkyrie followers. So today I have Bump & Grind from China Glaze Texture collection to show you guys. Bump & Grind is a medium hot pink textured matte finish polish.

In all pictures above I used two coats of Bump & Grind and no top coat. The formula applied easily and dried quickly. And over all I really like this polish. It is way more textured than the Liquid Sand OPI polishes though. If fact it reminds me more of Nerds Bumpy Jelly Beans more than sand or gravel. It's like having candy on my fingertips...and I kind of like it. But a free warning if you don't like the texture of the liquid sands you will not like this polish either. Because if Liquid Sand was too textured for you than this one is going to make you a very unhappy camper. This one is probably 2x bumpier (more textured) than any of the Liquid Sands I own...And I own quite a few of them. I also have to say that I freaking love this color. It's not like anything else I own and I just adore it. It's so bright and summery. Bump & Grind will be on my toes a lot this summer I think. The only down side is that the wear isn't as great for China Glaze Texture polishes as it is for Liquid Sands...so it's kind of a trade off. Today, I have Pussy Galore from OPI's Bond Girls collection to show you guys. Like I stated when I swatched some of the polishes from the Skyfall collection I'm not a James Bond (007) fan. I happen to prefer my acts of senseless fictional violence to be in horror films (And preferably perpetrated by some form of lurking monster, mutant, zombie, serial killer, ghost, alien, and/or demon. As nature intended.) over random super villain(ish) action films. But hey different strokes and all that. So you know I didn't want this polish because of some attachment to the films. I wanted this polish because it is so pretty. And my best friend Marcie picked it up for me (cuz she's awesome like that), so now I can wear and share this pretty polish with you guys. Pussy Galore is a pale, baby pink, pearly nail polish with a liquid sand finish, but enough of my blathering. Here's Pussy Galore (*shakes head* There really is no way to say the name of this polish that doesn't sound filthy. lol).

For all pictures above I used two coats of Pussy Galore and no topcoat. It applied easily and dried fairly quickly. I really love this polish. It's so pretty. Then there is the added factor of wear time. I love the liquid sand nail polishes because they last so long. I can literally wear a liquid sand polish for about a week before it chips. And my standards are pretty high for that sort of thing. I'm a one chip and I have to re-polish my nails kind of girl. But the liquid sands last through multiple showers/shampoos. So yeah the name on this polish is a little naughty (okay a lot naughty), but the polish itself is lovely. If the name bothers you...you seriously need to find a way to get over it, because this polish is a must have. What do you guys think? Are you loving liquid sand or not? I know I am. Today, I have another polish from China Glaze's Hologlam collection to show you. I am going to be showing you Not In This Galaxy which is a pinkish, coral holographic polish. And yes, I did another nail polish in motion video. I used my right hand this time though...because I am a clumsy ass and I creamed my left hand (my normal swatch hand). Which resulted in loss of most of the length on my ring and index finger nails. Let's just say that it involved a sweater tie, a door knob, and myself cursing like a sailor. In fact my poor little ring finger is still really sore (two days later). That said, I will return to using my left hand (nubs and all) because recording video of your right hand (when right handed) is just shy of impossible. So, in my next mani/swatch I will have nubbins. But I digress I'm here to show you nail polish not talk about my clumsiness. So, with no further ado, here's Not In This Galaxy.

Nail Polish In Motion Video:
In these pictures I used two coats of Not In This Galaxy and a coat of top coat. Also it's worth mentioning that the formula on this one is a beast. I tried three different base coats, before deciding to go alfresco under it instead. It was the only way I could get it to apply properly. Which grumps me up just a little bit. No basecoat is a cardinal sin but I had to commit it to make this polish apply properly. It's such a pretty polish...but application is not easy...or fun. That said the color is very pretty and I'm glad I own it because I can see this polish being awesome for stamping. I have some ideas swimming around in my head as I type which should sidestep the whole application issue as well. But like we all know already beauty is pain and this pretty polish is quite the pain to apply (hence the song in the video, I thought it fit my feelings for this polish very well). Today, I have Cloud Nine from Color Club's Halo-Hues (2012) collection to show you guys. Cloud Nine is a pale pink linear holographic polish. And since it's Color Club you know it's a knock you on your butt holographic polish. You're inner Valkyrie will get tranced, I guarantee it. So don't look at these pictures while driving or operating heavy machinery.

Kelly Clarkson - Catching My breath.
All pictures are with two coats of Cloud Nine and a layer of top coat. This formula is a just like the others in the collection; thin, applies easily, and dries quickly. Like the others, make sure your brush strokes are straight or you can get some weird holographic breaks. I actually thought this polish would be darker pink than it ended up. In the bottle it looks way more pink than it does on the nail. On the nail it's kind of a baby pink holo. I like it either way. It's one of my favorites from the collection I think. Today, I have Color Club Halo-Graphic from the Halo-Hues (2012) Collection to show you guys. Halo-Graphic is a medium pinkish-violet linear (you see lines of holo not just particles) holographic polish. I'm still sick so I am going to keep this post short. Here's Halo-Graphic.

All photos were with three coats of Halo-Graphic and a coat of topcoat. This formula is thick, but it dries quickly and applies easily. I did find out however that if you go to thin on the coats with this polish it gets a weird streaky look. So do nice normal coats. You will also want to know that you need to make sure as you brush it on that you make straight strokes with the brush or the holo won't show up properly. Other than being a bit persnickety this polish is gorgeous. Color Club really knows how to do holographic nail polish. Anyway that's all I have for you today. Today, I have a pink water marble to show you guys. I didn't set out to do a water marble. I was trying to do a water spotted manicure...well long story short the spray hand sanitizer (I was lucky enough to already have) was just not useful for this purpose. It just tore giant holes in the polish (the size of three fingers). Fail. So I decided that since I already had the water ready it wouldn't be a total loss and decided water marble was a better way to go since I have gotten pretty good at it. I also wanted to say that this it the first time I have used Zoya polish in a water marble...and holy crap it's awesome. It spreads better than any polish I own. Or at least Persiphony spreads better than any polish I own. Any way enough of my blathering here's the manicure. I hope you enjoy it.

So there you have it, the water marble that started as a water spot. Don't worry I am not giving up I will try the water spot manicure again. I just didn't have the required equipment to get it to work right (i.e. hand sanitizer that doesn't suck). That said I am happy with how the water marble turned out even if it was in lieu of water spots. It's pink and girly and springy...even if it's cold as...well you know were I'm going with this. Today, I have You Only Live Twice (YOLT) from OPI's Skyfall collection to show you guys. YOLT is a dark pink polish with pink glass flecks in it. I guess like the other polishes in this line it's somehow supposed to be inspired by the a James Bond film...but since I am not a fan of the series I can't fathom the connection between pink polish and a British action hero...but what do I know I'm just a silly girl...plus I prefer British dramas over British action films. But I digress, YOLT is a pretty polish and I will be using it a lot in February for Valentines nail art (I hope it works well for stamping). That said there will only be indoor pictures today as it was below zero all day when I took the pictures. Sorry in advance but I didn't want to freeze my poor little fingers off. Anyway enough of my blathering let's get to the polish.

All pictures are with two coats of YOLT and a layer of topcoat. This polish applied easily and had an average dry time. I really like the dark pink polish because it isn't like any other color in my collection. That said I do wish it had more glass flecks. It seems only China Glaze is getting the glass fleck quantity right. IMO. Anyway what do you guys think? Do you like this polish or is it to close to 'Barbie' pink for you? Today, I have The Impossible from OPI's Mariah Carey collection to show you guys. The Impossible is a liquid sand polish which means that it dries to a bumpy sand like matte finish. It's a bright pink glitter with mildly holographic pink glitter, silver hexagons and star glitter in it. And to be honest the reason I bought this polish is because of the star glitter. I love stars/moons/all night related images. As if you couldn't tell. As soon as I knew this polish had stars in it, I was there. But enough talking about it, it's time to start showing it.

And a song that to me fits this polish much better than anything by Mariah Carey (I'm not a fan. Sorry).
Pink - True Love.
All pictures are with two coats of The Impossible and not top coat. the formula is thin, applies easily and dries quickly. I really enjoy the color of this polish. That said I was really disappointed in the wear of this polish. The stars I was so excited about where a pain in the butt to get out of the bottle and on to the nail and once they were on the nail they didn't lay flat (probably because of the sand texture), which left little pokey star edges to catch on everything and to pop off leaving an icky silver outline of the star that used to be. Which was a total bummer for me. I wanted those little stars so bad and they were nothing but a disappointment. I'll probably wear the polish again but I will make sure to avoid said stars as they were such a pain to apply and wear. I also still question the placement of sand polish in the Mariah Carey collection. I think P!nk or Ke$ha would have been a far better fit in songstress than Mariah Carey. Either one are far more gritty and real than Mariah. IMO. But you decide for yourself. That's all I have for today. Until next time, stay classy and stay polished.
